Zaynah’s Birthday Party
07 Sep 2009 Leave a Comment
We had Zaynah’a birthday party on Saturday, her actual birthday is not until Tuesday but since Daddy and I had a four day weekend, we decided to go ahead and have it a few days early.
This was Zaynah’s first birthday party. After the lesson we learned at Shayla’s first birthday party where the party was more for her guest then her, we have not thrown a first birthday party again. Every year we ask our kids what they want to do to celebrate their special day and this is the first year Zaynah requested a party. More specfic, Zaynah requested a “SpongeBob Party” So SpongeBob it was!
I kept everything very simple, and simple was the best thing, I learned the only thing needed to keep a almost four year old happy is a playground, some bubbles and a few presents!
Zaynah had a great time, the kids who came also had a great time, as well as the adults. This year we also were blessed to have James dad, James Fullwood Jr, and his wife at Zaynah’s party. This was the first year and party Popsie was a guest at, and I know James enjoyed it as he had some help at the grill and they both did a great job cooking up the burgers and dogs (even if they “forgot” my veggie burger LOL).
I will post some pictures from both birthday celebrations (Tai and Zaynah’s) a little later, my digtal camara went to the great photo processing plant in the sky and I had to use a one time use until I can get another digtal camara.
Spring has arrived!

Last weekend we went to Calhoun farms to pick some strawberries. After strawberry pickin’ we also enjoyed some homemade strawberry ice cream which was good, not as good as Calhoun’s thought it was since it was the most expensive ice cream I have ever eaten!
Here are some pictures I was able to get. Zaynah was more interested in the playground then the actually strawberries as you can see!

James New Puppy

Saturday while we were off in Albany, James picked up a new puppy. She is a Jack Russell mixed with ????. She came from the same home we got Pebbles from and from what we have noticed about her so far she seems to be a very sweet, gentle tempermental type of dog. I say this because yesterday she spent most of the day being carried around by Zaynah. She did not growl, snap or anything. Just enjoyed (as much as a dog can enjoy I guess) being carried around by Zaynah.
We have kept the new puppy from “Ganster Pebbles” because of the episode we had between Pebbles and Lucky a few months back. We do not want a hurt or dead puppy on our hands. So we are trying to slowly get Pebbles used to the new puppy.
Last night after all the kiddies were in bed, I went into the den to let the dogs out before going to bed myself. I noticed that the new puppy was gone from her cage. Earlier, Zaynah had let the puppy out of her cage, because she “didn’t want to be mean” so I thought she had let her out again and the puppy was hiding in the den from Pebbles. After searching all over the den no puppy could be found. I then enlisted the help of James and Lynn to find the puppy, after searching the den, living room and Shayla’s room something told me to check Zaynah’s bed. After pulling back the covers, there was Zaynah cluthing the puppy around the neck sleeping.
Looks like the puppy is not James after all! I will upload some pics later today of the two of them.
Our Christmas Tree

Here are some pictures of our christmas tree for the year. Last year I actually had three trees up in the house. One in the living room, one in the den and one in the kids room. This year though in my haste, I actually broke one of the trees and so the Den tree (smaller one then the living room tree) had to be moved into the living room. Oh well at least there is a tree up!
The picture up top was actually taken by our future photographer Zaynah! Pretty good for a three year old huh?
Of course there is the now traditional Zaynah, Jake and the Christmas tree picture as well!
Update on the kids

Well a few things have been going on with the kids this past week.
1. Shayla’s soccer team also won thier divison. I received a call from her coach last week stating he was going to bring her trophy by the house since the Rec department did not get them to the team until after the season was over. We are still waiting on the coach to come by the house and drop off the trophy!
2. Shayla has also been learning how to cook, she has spent the last two weekends with her Grannie helping her cook Sunday dinner. Yesterday since I was sick she took over my Sunday tradition of baking a cake, (James helped her a little). I am not a big fan of Carrot cake but it looked beautiful! Shayla has already told Grandma she was coming to help her cook for Thanksgiving…now if she would only want to wash dishes! My life would be great!
3. Shayla also joined the Praise team at Grannie Church..more to come on that later I am sure.
4. Tai bribed his parents, grannie and auntie into selling candy for him at school. Between all of us he sold enough to ride in the limo next week. This past Friday though he also got a chance to spin the wheel at school, whatever number he landed on he got that much money. Well he landed on 10 and won $10.00! I am very proud of my little man, he still has six dollars left over from the birthday money he received from my mothers second born and he just added the $10.00 to it. James said since Tai was so good at saving his money he was going to open him up a savings account at the bank so he can grow his money some.
5. Zaynah is still Zaynah, spoiled as ever! But she is also a lot of joy, she makes us laugh all the time!
And that is it for what is going on in the kiddies lives this week.

Today was the first game I actually got to see, due to being away at training for the past few weeks. I am happy to say the Gators (Tai’s team) is 2-0 for the year! He has a great coach, really good with kids Tai’s age.
Below are some pictures I snapped at the game and a short video of the game itself. When watching the video remember Tai is number 11.

I had to share this story with everyone. Zaynah is now in her “idolize” stage and the person she Idolizes right now is Tai. When Zaynah had her birthday money she went to the store to buy her gift. She decided not to buy color books, crayons or even a new baby. No she decided to buy herself a new sword, shield and axe so she could play with big brother Tai in his “fighting” game! I snapped this pics of them when they got back from the store, as you can see they were very eager to start the game and were not so eager to take pictures!
Can everyone say “Daddy has created a monster!” LOL
Life with Zaynah

in Zaynah
I have to write a little something about Zaynah. Since she is not in school or any extra activites sometimes she gets overlooked here at the blog. Notice I said the blog, believe me if you are around her in real life she is never ever overlooked!
Zaynah is a doll, well to those that know and love her she is. If you had just met her you might find her to be a little bossy. For instance a recent conversation with Zaynah in regards to getting her bed clothes.
Momma: Zaynah go and get your night night clothes
Zaynah: No!
Momma: Zaynah I said go get your night night clothes so you can take a bath and go to bed.
Zaynah: OK
(Five minutes later Zaynah in front of the TV)
Momma: Zaynah did you get you clothes like I told you to?
Zaynah: No, you get my clothes, your my Momma!
Yes she also tends the think that the world revolves around Zaynah. Just tonight she was mad at Tai because he wouldn’t play with “Her DS” (Actually a old gameboy she was given to play with to keep her off the kids DS)
Zaynah: Momma Tai won’t play
Momma: Zaynah yesterday you were mad because he wouldn’t let you have it now you are mad because he won’t play with it, why?
Zaynah: Because he is “MY TAI”
Momma: So because he is “your Tai” he has to do what you say?
Zaynah: Yes (nods her head)
Tai: NOOOOO!
So you see life with Zaynah is never boring!
