in Orlando trip
Our trip to Orlando went really well. Better than expected (by me!) Here are some of the highlights
1. Zaynah did really well! We were expecting to have to stop every 30 minutes for her to run to the bathroom, but no, she held on like a real trooper and was a excellent passenger!
2. We had a little car trouble but lucky for us it happen right near an exit and better yet right by a truck stop. Much easier to entertain kids with a video game room, massage chairs, store and Wendy’s all in the same place!
3. Although we missed seeing Heather, Keila and Big we did get to spend time with Jonathan, Josh and Ruth along with other members of the extended family. One night we even got to hang out on the balcony with Josh and Ruth and eat and drink a little wine while the kids slept.
4. I got to eat some really good Italian food!
5. We had a kick ass hotel room! Shayla actually cried when it was time to leave, she loved it so much!
6. The Bear Factory was a blast! Josh and Ruth got the kids each a bear (although Tai was the only one who actually picked a bear, Shayla picked a Golden Retriever, Zaynah a “moo moo cow”) One of the highlights of the visit, Tai telling Zaynah “are you sure you want that cow? Once you pick it you can’t give it back to them!”
7. Outside of the Bear Factory was a wind machine. Tai wanted to try it out but…it cost $2.00. He had a five and a twenty but “I don’t want to break my five for two dollars!” Mommy went ahead and splurged on the machine for him!
8. The spin around in the chair game the kids played in the room, poor Zaynah kept being spun out of the chair, but being the trooper she is kept getting right back in it!
9. Everyone loved Tai’s new hair cut and “Shayla has really gotten tall!”
10. The look on James face when I told him I had a really good time, I thought he was going to wreck the truck!
